SOFTWAREI am running WINAMP. I downloaded a keypad plugin from CARPLAYER.COM. I also got misc. plugins from the WINAMP pages. Here is a link to a good plugin for volume equalization that I use. I am also working on incorporating the XIMP control and LCD package. This will allow me to program my own controls and the LCD display. I bought a copy of NSBASIC for programing. I control the Player using my Casio Cassioppea E100 and the serial plugin by Henrik Husted. With this plugin and the program I wrote, I can see what is playing: FF, REW Shuffle, EQ on, off etc. Here is a link to a trial version of you want to download (8K) it. It is cripple ware. I had to shell out some bucks for NSBasic and would like to recoup some of that. I am asking 5 bucks for the full working version with all later versions free. You will also need the runtime (1.2MB) from NSBasic, and the Timer Control. The interface is a little funky. The Windows CE device does not respond to an ONCOMM event. That is why you need the Timer Control and the display garbles every little bit. You will then need to register the control: regsvrce.exe \Windows\s309timer.ocx If you are getting and error on line 3 about comm, check and see if you have MSCEComm.dll in your windows directory. If not then you will need download it MIPS SH3, copy it into your windows directory and register it. To register the program : regsvrce.exe \Windows\MSCEComm.dll Here is a copy of my INI for the winamp serial control program. It is set to COM 1 at 9600 baud. Please email me if you need help getting it going. Here is picture of the program in action. Using the touch screen of the Casio is nice but it is hard to read in bright sunlight. I only have one cradle and light and one power supply. Casio seems to have dropped the ball on shipping these items as well as the Cassioppea. Last Updated: 04/01/00 02:45 PM |
